Dressology Hall of Fame Versace Couture SATC

You know those times in history that freeze? 
You can remember the exact moment, the smallest of detail. What you were eating. Who you were with. The time of day.

Yes, it's only a dress....but is it?

Would Carrie really be stood up—in THIS dress?

This incredible Versace Couture gown, in a television series replete with incredible clothes, was written into the script 
at the urging of uber-stylist Patricia Field. 

It almost made being stood up acceptable.

It is, therefore, the second installment to 
the Dressology Hall of Fame.

    This is by far one of my favorite dresses from the show and will stay in my memory forever. LOVE IT.

    really a piece of fashion history. I really don't care if the dress is in some way 'wearable', it just was perfect for this scene of the series.

    I think I have watched this episode at least 15 times because of the outfits in it and this dress was the best of them by far :)

    That dress. I think everyone remembers that dress. When she was lying on the bed in it and it took over the entire bed. The best dress ever shown on T.V.

    You are all so right! You can remember the episode by the clothes and some of those outfits are unforgettable!! Every time I watch an episode I think: Oh! THIS is my favourite outfit......yeah right!! Impossible to pick!

    Were i Kate Middleton, when she was still Kate Middleton, i would have gotten married in this dress, the only adjustment I would have made is the colour in accordance with wedding tradition - ' a delicious colour called clotted cream' might have almost done the ruffles as much justice.

    Couldn't agree more! It's such a memorable piece, even if quite excessive for a restaurant date (no matter how fancy the restaurant). But SATC was in many ways a fairy tale, and considering that - a dress like that is a must!
