wow, what an awesome idea to share those vintage masterpieces! I also think there are photos which definitely look the best in only black & white. and yeah, those are the ones. so classy and elegant and timeless!
I think it depends on the context, some photos look better in colour and some look better in black and white...it's just my opinion ;) But I love both styles, and those are really beautiful :)
You are very likely right Maria....but I'm still in love with black and white!! ha ha! Thanks so much for your lovely and thoughtful comment. So grateful for your support! x
Hello, My name is Tarah I am the author of Tarah and the City. This is my first time visiting your blog and I was very inspired by all the lovely fashion. I had to be a follower. :)
I love this post. That was a cute little poem at the beginning. I think it's great to see that some of the same designers still channel their designs in the past. They all have stuck to their niche. Thanks so much for sharing. Always, Tarah and the City
Hello T! It's a pleasure and I am following you. So happy to have you follow me....honoured in fact! Thank you of your lovely comment and I do hope to see you here again very soon. xo
Love this era and these dresses are gorgeous! I wish this style of dressing would come back and stay! This is a great post and I loved every picture...really!!
Haha, so true, everything does look better in black and white! It's always so fun to go back and see the various designers, Dior always remains my favorite. (So pretty and lady-like and timeless!)

I thoroughly enjoyed looking through all these fabulous images. If only we had these standards (and silhouettes), today....sigh. Greetings from Atlanta! ;-)
Vintage silhouettes were so much more flattering, feminine, and elegant than clothes now...plus i love the simple, elegant, fuss-free and classy beauty of these pieces. Wish we could dress like this now!
I love the old style, when I look at this pictures I immediately fell like Audrey or Grace back in the days. Thanks for that;)
